Jack Mourning

Headshot Jack MourningJack Mourning serves as the Operations Leader on the Directional Leadership Team of The Oaks. He joined The Oaks staff in January 2009 after a 21-year career at Fidelity Investments. He has oversight of the Facility Management, Facility Expansion, Finance and Media Departments.

Before leaving Fidelity, Jack served as Senior Vice President, Project Management and Design, of Fidelity Real Estate Company (FREC), the corporate real estate division of Fidelity Investments.  Jack oversaw all design and construction activity for Fidelity's corporate needs both domestically and internationally.  The annual capital budget of $500 million included construction of new regional campuses and investor centers, mission critical data centers, interior construction in new leased facilities and remodeling of existing facilities as Fidelity businesses required.

Prior to joining Fidelity, Jack worked for various architectural firms in the DFW area in a succession of architectural, managerial and partnership positions.

Jack holds a BS degree in Architecture from the University of Oklahoma and is a licensed architect in the state of Texas.

Jack has been a member of The Oaks since 1974 and has served on the Church Board since 1981. He served as co-chairman of the Building Committee that oversaw the development of the Red Oak Campus and has been used in teaching ministry throughout his time with The Oaks.

Jack and his wife, Phylis, live in Midlothian, Texas.  He has three daughters and sons-in-law - Jackie and Danny Mourning; Andrea and Clayton Brooks and grandson, Connor; and Lisa and Christian Conatser.
