The Oaks School of Leadership is a leadership development program committed to training and preparing students for ministry. Through our association with The Oaks and our partnership with Southwestern Assemblies of God University, students are able to receive practical ministry experience as well as the best Christian higher education available. The OSL discipleship process engages students at both the individual and corporate level and is designed to facilitate personal growth and prepare them to effectively disciple others.
OSL students are full-time college students at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Students are able to experience college life as they live in a dormitory on campus at SAGU and participate in various student life activities on campus. Classes are taught by both SAGU professors and qualified pastors from The Oaks, so the classroom experience is educational as well as relevant. Our partnership with SAGU allows our students to not only receive the discipleship and ministry training that The Oaks School of Leadership has always provided, but also allows them to work toward their bachelor’s degree and get the critical college experience that churches desire in their pastoral staff.
OSL students are fully integrated into the ministries at The Oaks and are able to choose the department they would like to intern in. They are mentored and trained by highly qualified and highly successful ministers and experts in their field. Other ministry opportunities are provided, such as mission trips, church planting efforts and local outreach events, so students are able to serve the church and the community in a variety of ways.
