Justin Lathrop
Justin Lathrop serves as the Executive Pastor - Strategic Development on the Directional Leadership Team of The Oaks. His responsibilities include planting new Oaks campuses, launching a church plant initiative, overseeing The Oaks School of Leadership, and strategic hiring and placing of staff.
Justin grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and at an early age felt a call to ministry. He responded to the call and entered North Central University in Minneapolis, MN. During his final years at NCU he served as the Senior High Youth Pastor at Emmanuel Christian Center.
He joined The Oaks in March 2002, where he founded and launched The Gathering – a community of young adults throughout the South Dallas region. After four years of serving as the pastor of The Gathering, he transitioned to the role of Church and Public Relations Director of The Oaks School of Leadership – a ministry and leadership training program. His primary role was spearheading the unique partnership OSL has with Southwestern Assemblies of God University. During that time OSL has seen incredible growth with over 120% increase in enrollment.
Justin and his wife Andrea have been married since May of 2000 and have two children, McKenna and Parker.
